In Occitan, “Puech” means a high point that we reach by a short and steep slope. You will encounter some on your circuit among Monestiés, La Roucarié Lake, the Viaur Valley and Salles-sur-Cérou.

The wild escape

This ride appropriated to children will lead you to the bottom of the mine museum headframe and will continue on the Homps Lake riverbanks.

From Homps city, this tour leads you, through paths and ways, on the miner footsteps. After passing by the departmental mine museum and its headframe, you will make your way up to Saint Dalmaze and Saint Martiane churches before moving towards the Cap’Découverte’s slag heap.
